Qualifications:
- MUST BE A SELF MOTIVATED “GO GETTER”!
- Strong electrical, and mechanical aptitude and experience
- 3-5 years minimum experience in the repair and maintenance of equipment to include press brake, sheer, welding machines, pneumatic powered tools, forklift, welding machines, and hand held tools
- Knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA requirements associated with equipment
- Strong organizational and communication skills needed to track and report on all issues
- Excellent planning, organizing, prioritizing and scheduling the maintenance of plant and equipment
- Ability to work with vendors and company employees
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to work independently
Job Description:
- Trouble shooting, diagnosing, installing and repairing mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems and equipment
- Capable of identifying and correcting problems such as electrical/control systems, mechanical systems and air handling systems
- Identifies and implements safety and continuous improvements, equipment calibrations and reliability opportunities
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and mechanical and electrical testing instruments if necessary
- Controls downtime by informing operation workers of routine preventative maintenance and operation techniques; monitoring compliance and reporting to supervisor as necessary. Provides mechanical maintenance and other general information as necessary to prevent equipment damage; answers question to related maintenance issues
- Fabricates or orders repair parts or additions as necessary
- Serves as an “Expert” resource, providing training and assistance to Operations
- Inventory management
