General Description:
Provide assistance to customers and sales people concerning technical service, replacement parts, and product installation. Follow up on warranty and recall issues with customers, contractors, and sales people. Assist the Service Manger with product, service, and document improvement projects.

Job Functions:

  • Handle customer service calls and e-mails in a professional manner.
  • Provide back-up for technical service calls and e-mails
  • Provide archived wiring prints and specifications for customers and sales people
  • Place replacement and warranty parts orders
  • Assist in department projects

Tasks & Projects:

  • Assist with improving and maintaining product Installation and Operation Guides
  • Assist with interviewing and establishing a service contractor network
  • Assist with creating and maintaining service manuals and start up guides
  • Assist with custom product installation instructions and modification instructions
  • Assist with training customers and sales people after completing required training

Experience Requirements:

  • Three years experience in customer service related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent customer service and project management skills
  • HVAC, mechanical, and electrical experience not required but is a plus

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be willing and able to travel with short notice twice a month
  • Must have two or more references of their customer service skills
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, maneuver on jobsites, and be comfortable with heights

Proposed Training:

  • Corporate new employee training Raleigh, North Carolina - 1 Week
  • Dale Carnegie training Edine Praire, Minnesota - 1 day a week for 16 weeks
  • Assembly experience at the plant West Union, Iowa - 1 week
  • Jobsite experience Wausau, WI - 6 jobsites supervised start-ups
