Engineering Hot Topic - Rockwell/Allen Bradley Contactor & Overloads
The Rockwell/Allen-Bradley contactors and overloads, seen in the picture below, have been used in our Electrical Control Packages since the beginning of October. All Rockwell/Allen-Bradley motor starters require an external wire between terminal A2 on the contactor and 96 on the overload. The motor starters are pre-wired from the factory when an ECP is ordered. If a change-out is required in the field, then the service person will have to ensure the wiring between these two components is replaced.
