Single Point Connection for Electric Heaters

We are pleased to announce that the option for a single point electrical connection is now available and orderable online for our E Series SCR Modulating Electric Heaters. This option will be selectable beginning with the 1-E.351-G10 unit and larger, and is available for single or three phase units.

The motor drop is routed through the heater and into the heater control cabinet. The motor wires are then connected to the input side of the heater disconnect switch. The motor wires will be labeled as seen in the picture below. The ETL label on the unit will also reference the single point connection and give the combined MCA (Minimum Current Ampacity) on the label itself.

Conditions needed for the Single Point Connection:

• Motor and electric coil need to be the same voltage and phase – a warning will appear if these are different
• Temperature control needs to be a Remote Panel or Field Installed Switch
