We are excited to announce the release of the Modular Package Unit (MPU). The MPU is designed to be a factory packaged air conditioning and heating unit for 100% Outdoor Air (OA) applications. Units are sized to operate between 360 to 600 CFM/ton of cooling, depending on the climate.

The modular packaged cooling unit is optimized to work in conjunction with highly efficient make-up air delivery methods, such as the perforated supply plenum for kitchen ventilation systems, and includes multiple cooling stages for greater efficiency. The cooling unit can be used in conjunction with both electric and gas heat.

For the Size 1 Housing, available options are:

  • 2 Ton Single Circuit
  • 3 Ton Single Circuit
  • 5 Ton Double Circuit (Stage 1 is 2 Ton and Stage 2 is 3 Ton)

For the Size 2 Housing, available options are:

  • 5 Ton Single Circuit
  • 7.5 Ton Double Circuit (Stage 1 is 2.5 Ton and Stage 2 is 5 Ton)
  • 10 Ton Double Circuit (Stage 1 is 5 Ton and Stage 2 is 5 Ton)

For the Size 3 Housing, available option is:

  • 10 Ton Double Circuit (Stage 1 is 5 Ton and Stage 2 is 5 Ton)

Features and Important Points:

  • The refrigerant used is the R-410A, which is more environmentally friendly.
  • Packages contain Thermal Expansion Valve and filter/drier kit
  • Units are factory charged, assembled and ship as one piece
  • Can be down or end discharge – downtown plenums and intakes will be shipped loose
  • Condensers require separate electrical feeds and are all 208 Single Phase – this is indicated on the label, on schematics and in option description
  • 12” curbs are recommended in warmer climates to reduce overall roof height
  • Cooling Thermostat and Relay options must be chosen to control the condensers from the MUA
  • Condensers are available as standalone items as well
